Hey, welcome to Overflow. I'm Nick Wortley, CEO and founder. Today, I'm going to show how Overflow is set up at your bar and what the workflow is for your bartenders. So, traditionally you already have a POS, whether that's Square, Aloha, Clover, one of those, and your bartenders already know how to use it. With Overflow, we recommend taking the iPad and stand, which we provide for free, and placing it right next to your existing computer. This way your bartenders can handle traditional orders and Overflow orders at the same time.
Traditionally, someone's going to come up and say, "Hey, I'd like a whiskey sour, here's my credit card or here's some cash." The bartender comes over, starts punching that into the POS. They're swiping it, they're getting the receipt, they're getting the change, and then they go, "Oh, look, an Overflow order came in." While they're standing here, they take that to accept it and go, "Okay, I'll just make that at the same time," so now they're going to make two drinks. They pour a whiskey sour, they pour a vodka soda, put the vodka soda down, find one square foot to put a couple of drinks and then take the whiskey sour, hand it to the patron.
A couple of minutes later, another patron's going to come up and say, "Hey, I've got an Overflow order. It's big and green. It's easy to see, it matches, it's got my name, the order, everything." Bartender simply hands them the drink, turns around, taps right here, done. What's awesome about this is the order was taken and the payment was received in basically the amount of time it would take one drink and they did two, plus, there were tips included on this. We actually auto-suggest tip amounts to the patrons and we've generally been seeing about 20% come through, so the bartenders are still making their money.
What's great about this is while your patrons are out and about, they're off dancing, they're at their table, they're having a good time, they're like, "I don't really want to have to go stand in line," they can place orders. You're not missing out on any patrons deciding not to order and your bartenders are serving twice as many people at the same time.
